SEO (search engine optimization) gets your website found when people search Google for what you sell. TLG Marketing improves your site’s technical health, content and authority so it ranks for searches with buying intent, then tracks which rankings turn into calls and form leads.
Why most SEO never produces leads
Plenty of websites rank for something. The question is what. A page that ranks for “how to clean gutters” brings readers who will do the job themselves. A page that ranks for “gutter installation in Long Beach” brings people with a project and a budget.
We start from the searches your buyers make, build or fix the pages that answer them, and measure success in calls and form submissions rather than traffic alone.
SEO services we offer
- Local SEO: map-pack rankings, Google Business Profile and location pages for businesses that serve an area.
- Ecommerce SEO: category and product pages structured to rank and sell.
- White label SEO: SEO delivered under your agency’s brand.
- SEO consulting: audits and roadmaps for in-house marketing teams.
- SEO audits: a prioritized review when you need to understand what is holding the site back.
- B2B SEO: service and capability pages for buyers comparing suppliers over a longer sales cycle.
- AI search optimization: indexing, crawler access and clear business facts that support visibility in AI answers.
Who it’s for
Our SEO work is built for businesses that sell through inquiries: a phone call, a form, a booked meeting. When one new customer is worth thousands, winning the handful of searches those customers make matters far more than raw traffic. Selling online instead? See ecommerce SEO.
Built by developers, not just marketers
Much of SEO happens in the code: page speed, structured data, and how search engines crawl and index your pages. Every member of the TLG team is a developer or designer, so the technical fixes your site needs are made by the same people who plan the strategy. We’ve been doing this for businesses since 2006.
Planning your SEO budget
The work depends on your site, the searches you want to compete for and who will implement the changes. Our SEO cost guide explains pricing models and the questions to ask when comparing proposals. You can also meet the TLG team and review our client projects before discussing your plan.
Choose the SEO work that fits your business
A local service business needs visibility where its customers can hire it. A company selling across the country needs pages that compete beyond one city. Our national SEO and enterprise SEO services address those broader requirements. Software businesses can explore SaaS SEO, while stores can choose support for Shopify or BigCommerce.
How to judge an SEO proposal
Ask for a clear connection between the problem, the work and the intended result. A useful proposal identifies the pages to improve, the technical fixes needed, the content to create and who will carry out each task. An audit has limited value if its recommendations never reach the live website.
Agree on the starting numbers before work begins: relevant searches, visits to service pages, recorded inquiries and the share of those inquiries your sales team considers qualified. Keep branded searches separate from searches by people who have not heard of you yet. That makes it easier to see whether SEO is reaching new buyers.
Improve existing content before adding more
A useful older article can still introduce new customers to your business. Review what it ranks for, who links to it and the questions it answers before changing its purpose. Pages covering different buyer needs can stay separate and link to each other. New content earns its place when it answers a missing question or makes a buying decision easier.

// Questions
SEO: common questions
How do SEO and AI search optimization work together?
Both depend on accessible pages that explain your business clearly. SEO also addresses search demand, site structure, content and authority. AI search work adds checks of how assistants describe and cite your services. We assess these separately so an AI mention is not mistaken for a website visit or a new customer.
Should similar articles always be merged?
No. Similar topics can serve different needs. We look at search queries, traffic, links and the purpose of each page first. Improving the differences and adding useful links may be the better choice. A merge needs evidence that the pages serve the same job and a plan to preserve their useful information.
How long does SEO take to work?
Most sites see movement within three to six months; competitive searches take longer. Your roadmap sets expectations search by search, so you know what to expect and when.
How much do SEO services cost?
It depends on how competitive your market is and how much work your site needs. Tell us your monthly budget on the form and we’ll show you what it can realistically achieve.
Will you work on my existing website?
Yes. We work on WordPress, ecommerce platforms and custom-built sites. If the site itself is holding you back, our developers can fix it or rebuild it.
What do you need from me to get started?
Access to your website, Google Search Console and Google Analytics, and a 30-minute call about your customers, services and goals.
