Construction marketing helps general contractors and builders win more of the projects they want, from kitchen remodels and accessory dwelling units to tenant improvements and ground-up commercial work. TLG Marketing builds portfolio-driven websites, runs local search and paid campaigns for homeowners, reaches owners and architects through LinkedIn and email, and tracks consultations, estimate requests and bid invitations.

Two kinds of construction buyer

Residential clients plan for months. A couple considering an addition or a whole-home remodel saves photos, reads reviews, asks neighbors and interviews contractors before trusting one with their house and savings. Commercial clients buy through relationships and qualifications. Developers, property owners, facility managers and architects keep short lists of builders they trust, and a firm earns a place on that list with comparable projects, a credible safety program and people who communicate well. Both groups visit your website before the first meeting, and both judge you by the work you show.

What TLG builds for contractors

  • Project pages. Each completed job gets a page with scope, location, schedule, problems solved and photos, plus video of the finished space or the build in progress.
  • Residential lead campaigns. Google Ads and local SEO for remodels, additions and ADUs in the cities you serve, with a consultation form that asks about budget range and timing.
  • Commercial outreach. LinkedIn and email campaigns to developers, owners and architects, with capability statements and prequalification documents ready to download.
  • Bid-ready credentials. License classifications, insurance coverage types, safety program summaries and project lists kept current in one place.
  • Recruiting. A careers page and job ads that help you staff the work your marketing brings in.

Licensing claims and measurement

Contractor advertising carries legal weight. California’s Contractors State License Board lets licensed A and B contractors advertise as general contractors, requires the license number in every form of advertising and bars telling the public you are bonded, which catches firms that copy the familiar “licensed, bonded and insured” line. We check each claim against your licenses. Construction deals close slowly, so reports follow each opportunity from first visit to consultation, proposal and signed contract, with its source recorded at every step.

// Questions

Construction marketing: common questions

Can one website serve both residential and commercial construction clients?

Yes, if each audience has its own path. Homeowners want design ideas, reviews and a consultation form, while owners and architects want project data, safety programs and a way to send bid documents. We split navigation, pages and forms so neither group has to wade through the other’s content.

Can marketing help us hire superintendents and field crews?

It can. We build a careers page with real jobsite photos and video, publish job posts and run recruiting ads. Google restricts employment ad targeting by age, gender, parental status, marital status and ZIP code in the US, so recruiting campaigns rely on radius targeting and job-related searches.

Do Local Services Ads work for general contractors?

For residential work they often do. Google lists general contractor, kitchen remodeling and bathroom remodeling among its Local Services Ads categories, and you pay for valid leads instead of clicks. Commercial projects rarely start from a single search, so that side relies on relationships, LinkedIn and your project record.

How much does digital marketing cost?

It depends on your market, your goals and which channels you need. Tell us your monthly budget on the form and we'll recommend the mix that budget can support.

Do I need every channel?

No. Many businesses start with one or two channels, usually search and a better website, and add more once those produce leads.

How do you report results?

You get regular reports on spend, leads and cost per lead by channel, so you can see what each dollar produced.
