Restaurant marketing gets your restaurant chosen when people nearby search for somewhere to eat, book a table or order takeout. TLG Marketing keeps your Google Business Profile, menu and photos accurate, connects reservation and online ordering links, manages reviews, runs local ads and social content, and tracks which channels bring in reservations, direct orders and catering inquiries.
How diners decide where to eat
Most restaurant decisions are quick and local. Someone searches for a cuisine near them or opens Maps, scans the photos, rating and menu, checks that you are open now, and calls, books or orders within minutes. Out-of-town visitors and event crowds search the same way, which matters in a city that hosts the Grand Prix of Long Beach. Demand also moves with the calendar: Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, graduation season, patio weather and the year-end party season drive reservations and catering requests, so campaigns and posts need to go out weeks ahead.
Google, reservations and online ordering
- Google Business Profile. Hours, holiday hours, attributes, fresh photos and a structured menu entered through Google’s menu editor, managed by our Google Business Profile team.
- Reservations. A Reserve button connected through one of Google’s booking partners, or a clear link to the reservation system you already use.
- Online ordering. Your direct ordering link set up on Google, your website and social profiles, with delivery app listings checked for accurate menus and hours.
- Website and local search. A fast mobile site with menus written as page text, which Google and phone screens read more easily than a PDF, plus local SEO for the dishes and neighborhoods people search.
Delivery apps and direct orders
Third-party delivery apps are good at reaching new customers, and they charge for it through commissions and fees while keeping most of the customer relationship. Direct orders through your own site usually cost less per order and let you build an email or text list. We treat the apps as a discovery channel and use your Google profile, website, social media and loyalty offers to bring repeat customers to direct ordering. California’s Fair Food Delivery Act also requires a delivery platform to have an agreement with a restaurant before it arranges delivery of that restaurant’s food.
What TLG delivers
Our designers and developers build the website, menus and ordering pages, write and schedule posts, answer reviews in your voice, and run Google and Meta ads for catering, events and slow nights. Reports show calls, reservations, direct orders and catering inquiries by channel, so you can see what each campaign brought through the door.

// Questions
Restaurant marketing: common questions
Should we stay on the delivery apps?
For most restaurants, yes. Delivery apps bring in customers who might never have found you, but they charge commissions and fees and hold most of the customer data. We keep your app listings accurate and use your Google profile, website and loyalty offers to move repeat customers to your own ordering, where the margin and the relationship stay with you.
Can we choose which ordering link Google shows?
Partly. Your Google Business Profile lets you add your own ordering link and mark a preferred provider for pickup or delivery, though delivery services you work with can still appear under the Order button. We set your direct link as preferred where Google offers it, recheck it after platform changes, and tag it so direct orders show up in your reports.
Do California's restaurant fee rules affect our online menu?
They can. California requires a mandatory service charge to be shown clearly, with an explanation of its purpose, on any menu, ad or other display that lists food or drink prices. We add that note to your website menu, ordering pages and ads in the wording you or your attorney approve.
How much does digital marketing cost?
It depends on your market, your goals and which channels you need. Tell us your monthly budget on the form and we'll recommend the mix that budget can support.
Do I need every channel?
No. Many businesses start with one or two channels, usually search and a better website, and add more once those produce leads.
How do you report results?
You get regular reports on spend, leads and cost per lead by channel, so you can see what each dollar produced.
