Aerospace and defense marketing helps machine shops, component makers, special process houses and engineering suppliers win work from primes, airlines, MRO providers and government buyers. TLG Marketing builds capability pages engineers can evaluate, states certifications such as AS9100 and ITAR registration accurately, runs B2B search, LinkedIn and trade show campaigns, and tracks each RFQ back to the source that produced it.
How aerospace buyers qualify a supplier
Two groups decide. Engineers look for proof that you can hold the tolerances, materials and processes a part demands. Supplier quality and procurement check certifications, approvals, capacity, lead times and delivery history before a new supplier joins an approved list. New relationships often begin with a small RFQ or a first article, and buyers usually review your website, your OASIS listing and your quality documents before they pick up the phone. Programs can run for years, so earning that first approval matters.
Certifications explained plainly
- AS9100. The quality management standard for aviation, space and defense organizations, built on ISO 9001 with added aerospace requirements. An accredited registrar audits you, and certified suppliers appear in the IAQG’s OASIS database.
- Nadcap. Industry accreditation for special processes such as heat treating, chemical processing, welding and nondestructive testing, administered by the Performance Review Institute.
- ITAR registration. Registration with the State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, required for US companies that manufacture or export defense articles. It is a registration and does not by itself authorize any export.
- CMMC. The Defense Department’s cybersecurity program, now written into defense contracts and flowed down to subcontractors that handle federal contract information or controlled unclassified information.
What TLG builds for aerospace suppliers
We build capability pages for each process, material and part family using our B2B SEO approach, with equipment lists, part size ranges and the industries you serve. RFQ forms accept drawings, route them to estimating and send uploads to storage your export compliance team approves, since controlled technical data cannot sit on just any server. Account-based marketing and LinkedIn campaigns reach supplier quality, procurement and engineering staff at target primes, and trade show campaigns fill your booth calendar. Many of the same methods power our manufacturing marketing. TLG’s clients include Anthelion Helicopters.

// Questions
Aerospace marketing: common questions
What is the difference between ITAR registration and ITAR certification?
There is no ITAR certification. Registration means your company has registered with the State Department's Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, which US manufacturers and exporters of defense articles must do even if they only sell domestically, and it is renewed every year. It does not authorize any export on its own, so we describe your status in the exact words your export compliance lead approves.
How should we show AS9100 certification on our website?
State the standard, the sites and scope your certificate covers, and the registrar that issued it, and offer the certificate as a download. Buyers can confirm certification in the IAQG's OASIS database, so the details on your site should match your OASIS listing exactly. If a site or process falls outside your scope, the page says so.
Do you help suppliers that sell directly to the government?
Yes. Contracting officers and prime contractors look for a capability statement listing your UEI and CAGE code, NAICS codes, certifications and past performance. We write and design that statement, keep your website consistent with your SAM.gov registration, and build pages that small business liaison offices and primes can review quickly.
How much does digital marketing cost?
It depends on your market, your goals and which channels you need. Tell us your monthly budget on the form and we'll recommend the mix that budget can support.
Do I need every channel?
No. Many businesses start with one or two channels, usually search and a better website, and add more once those produce leads.
How do you report results?
You get regular reports on spend, leads and cost per lead by channel, so you can see what each dollar produced.
