Ecommerce SEO gets an online store’s category and product pages ranking for the searches shoppers make when they’re ready to buy. TLG Marketing fixes how your catalog is structured and crawled, rewrites the pages that matter, adds product schema and Google free listings, and reports organic revenue by landing page so you can see what SEO is earning.

When a store needs ecommerce SEO

Most stores reach a point where paid ads bring in nearly every sale, and the margin on each order depends on what the click cost. Organic search keeps working after you stop paying for clicks, but stores rarely rank by accident. Common signs you need help:

  • Category pages with no text. A grid of products with no copy gives Google little reason to rank the page for “men’s trail running shoes”.
  • Thousands of filter URLs. Size, color and price filters can create endless near-duplicate pages that soak up crawl attention.
  • Copied product descriptions. Manufacturer text that also appears on every other store selling the same line.
  • No view of which pages sell. Analytics that show visits but not revenue by landing page.

What we do for your store

We start with keyword research across your catalog and assign each search to the right page: broad terms to categories, specific models to products, and questions to buying guides. Then we restructure navigation and internal links so your best categories sit close to the homepage, control which filter combinations can be indexed, write category copy and product descriptions, and add product schema so prices and availability can show in search results. We also connect your product feed to Google Merchant Center for free listings in Google Shopping.

Our developers make the template changes, speed fixes and redirects themselves, so nothing stalls while waiting on an outside contractor.

Platform-specific help

Each platform has its own limits, so we offer dedicated Shopify SEO, BigCommerce SEO and Etsy SEO services. If your storefront is slow, our page speed optimization work comes first. B2B stores that take quote requests get lead tracking alongside revenue, so every sale and inquiry from search is counted.

// Questions

Ecommerce SEO: common questions

Should every product variant have its own page?

Usually not. Sizes and colors of the same item normally belong on one product page so they don’t compete with each other in search. A variant earns its own page only when people search for it separately, such as a specific model or edition.

What happens to SEO when a product sells out?

It depends on whether the item is coming back. Temporarily out-of-stock products should stay live with a back-in-stock option, while discontinued products are redirected to the closest replacement or category so the page’s search value isn’t thrown away.

Do you write product descriptions?

Yes, starting with the products that matter most. Manufacturer descriptions appear on every store that carries the same item, so we rewrite copy for your best sellers and highest-margin lines first, then work through the rest of the catalog.

How long does SEO take to work?

Most sites see movement within three to six months; competitive searches take longer. Your roadmap sets expectations search by search, so you know what to expect and when.

How much do SEO services cost?

It depends on how competitive your market is and how much work your site needs. Tell us your monthly budget on the form and we’ll show you what it can realistically achieve.

Will you work on my existing website?

Yes. We work on WordPress, ecommerce platforms and custom-built sites. If the site itself is holding you back, our developers can fix it or rebuild it.

What do you need from me to get started?
