Landing page design means building a page for one campaign and one action, such as a quote request or a phone call, so ad clicks don’t land on a general homepage. TLG Marketing writes and builds landing pages for Google Ads and other campaigns that repeat the ad’s promise, load quickly on phones, track forms and calls, and improve through A/B tests.
When a campaign needs its own page
Sending paid clicks to a homepage makes visitors hunt for the offer they clicked on. A dedicated page fits when you run Google Ads, Facebook or LinkedIn campaigns, promote one service or offer, or need to know which campaign produced each lead. Google Ads also counts landing page experience, which Google describes as how relevant and useful your page is to people who click your ad, as one of the three components of Quality Score.
What goes into each page
- Message match. The headline repeats the search term or ad promise, and the offer and service area match the ad exactly.
- One conversion goal. A single action, a short form or a call button, with the site menu removed so nothing competes with it.
- Proof beside the ask. Reviews, client logos, licenses or photos of real work placed next to the form.
- Speed. Lightweight code without heavy page builders, tested on a phone connection before any ad points at it.
- Copy and design. We write the copy and design the page to your brand, built in WordPress or the platform you already use.
Tracking and testing
- Form tracking. Each submission recorded as a conversion in Google Ads and GA4, with the campaign, ad group and keyword saved alongside the lead.
- Call tracking. A Google forwarding number swapped onto the page, so calls from ad visitors count as conversions when they last as long as the minimum you set.
- Lead quality. Leads that become customers can be imported back into Google Ads, so automated bidding learns which clicks turn into sales.
- A/B testing. One change at a time, such as the headline, offer or form length, with traffic split through Google Ads experiments and a winner called only when the numbers support it.

// Questions
Landing page design: common questions
How many landing pages do we need?
Usually one for each service or offer you advertise, and sometimes one per location. If two ad groups need different headlines to match what people search, they should point to different pages.
Should landing pages live on our main website?
Usually yes, on your own domain but left out of the menu. That keeps tracking simple and carries your brand’s credibility. We often keep ad-only pages out of search results so they don’t compete with your service pages.
How long should an A/B test run?
Until each version has enough conversions to show a real difference, which depends on your traffic. Smaller campaigns may only support testing big changes, such as a different offer, and we’ll tell you up front what your budget can test.
How much does a website cost?
It depends on scope: the number of pages, custom features, ecommerce and how much content needs writing. Tell us your budget on the form and we’ll show you what it can achieve.
How long does a website project take?
A small business website takes about two weeks from kickoff to launch. Larger sites with ecommerce, integrations or a lot of content take longer, and your proposal gives the timeline. Getting content and feedback to us quickly is the biggest factor you control.
Can you work on our existing website?
Yes. We can redesign it, improve what’s there, speed it up or move it to a new platform. We start by reviewing the current site so we know what’s worth keeping.
