YouTube channel management is the ongoing work of planning, optimizing, publishing and promoting a business’s videos on YouTube. TLG Marketing brands your channel, plans video topics around what customers search for, writes titles and descriptions, designs thumbnails, organizes playlists, replies to comments and reports which videos lead viewers to your website and contact forms.
Who gets value from a YouTube channel
YouTube works best for businesses whose customers want to see something before they buy or call: how a product works, what a procedure involves, how an installation is done, or who they’ll be dealing with. Manufacturers, software companies, clinics, contractors and training providers can all answer recurring questions on video. Because YouTube also works as a search engine, a useful video can keep attracting viewers long after it’s published.
What managing your channel involves
- Channel setup. Banner, profile image, About section, links, channel trailer and playlists arranged so new visitors know where to start.
- Video planning. A calendar of topics drawn from customer questions, sales conversations and YouTube search suggestions.
- Upload optimization. Titles, descriptions, chapters, captions, tags, cards and end screens set for every video.
- Thumbnails. Custom designs from our in-house team, made to stand out in search results and suggested videos.
- Shorts and repurposing. Vertical clips cut from longer videos, plus versions sized for your other social channels.
- Community. Comments answered, with questions that look like sales inquiries passed to your team.
Turning views into inquiries
Views help only when some viewers become customers. Each description links to a relevant page on your site with tracking attached, end screens point to the next useful video or your contact page, and reports combine YouTube Analytics with GA4 to show which videos send visitors who get in touch. When a video proves it holds attention, we can promote it with video campaigns in Google Ads, and the same material can become articles through our content marketing service.

// Questions
YouTube channel management: common questions
Do you produce the videos?
Yes. We produce the videos: we plan topics, write the scripts, film and edit, then handle thumbnails and publishing. Each long video is also cut into Shorts.
Should we publish long videos or Shorts?
Usually both. Shorts are brief vertical clips that help new viewers discover your channel, while longer videos answer detailed questions and build trust. We often cut several Shorts from each long video, so one recording feeds both formats.
Can our videos appear in Google search results?
Yes. Google owns YouTube and often shows video results for how-to and product searches. Clear titles, descriptions, chapters and captions help both YouTube and Google understand what each video covers.
