Marketing and sales automation uses software to handle repetitive work such as replying to new leads, sending email sequences, booking calls and updating your CRM. TLG Marketing maps how leads move through your business, then sets up and connects the tools so each inquiry gets a fast response and nothing depends on someone remembering to follow up.
Signs you need automation
- Slow replies. Web forms land in a shared inbox and leads wait hours for an answer.
- Manual data entry. Salespeople copy details between the website, spreadsheets and CRM by hand.
- Dropped quotes. Proposals go out, the prospect goes quiet and nobody follows up.
- Unclear sources. You can’t tell which marketing channel produced a new customer.
What we set up
- Lead capture and routing. Forms, calls and chats flow into your CRM and are assigned by service, location or deal size.
- Automated follow-up. Confirmation emails, nurture sequences and alerts to sales when a lead takes action, such as booking a call or requesting a quote.
- Scheduling. Booking links in emails and on your site, with reminders sent before each call.
- Marketing tasks. Scheduled email campaigns, social posts and audience updates for your ad campaigns.
- Clean data. Duplicate contacts merged and required fields enforced, so reports and follow-up run on accurate records.
- Back-office work. Customer service routing, reporting and data syncing between the systems you already use.
Built by developers
Before building anything, we map your current process on one page: where leads come from, who handles them and where they stall. You approve that map, and it becomes the blueprint for the build.
Automation is only as reliable as the connections between your tools. Every member of the TLG team is a developer or designer, so the integrations between your website, CRM and ad platforms are built and tested by people who write code. Leads from paid ads and outbound campaigns then follow the same process from first reply to signed deal.
Turn one business process into a clear workflow
Start with the event that triggers the work, such as a submitted form. Define the fields that need to be captured, the person responsible, the reply to send and the conditions that end the sequence. Document what should happen if information is missing or the assigned person is unavailable. That makes the process testable before it handles live inquiries.
What to check before switching automation on
- Duplicate inquiries. Decide whether another form submission updates an existing contact or creates a new record.
- Customer status. Stop follow-up that no longer fits after a booking, sale, reply or unsubscribe.
- Failed connections. Identify how your team will learn that a form, integration or workflow has stopped working.
- Ownership. Assign someone to maintain the workflow when your offers, staff or systems change.
Scope the integration before choosing more software
List the tools you already use and the information that needs to move between them. Check whether their existing features cover the requirement before adding another subscription. The number of systems, quality of the data and complexity of the routing rules affect both setup and ongoing maintenance.
When the problem is missed follow-up, connect this work with email marketing. When the problem is unreliable reporting, review the underlying measurement setup. Automation works best when it improves a defined process your team understands.

// Questions
Marketing automation: common questions
Which CRM and automation tools do you work with?
We work with the CRM and email tools you already use, including HubSpot, and connect them to your website forms, call tracking and calendar. If you don’t have a CRM yet, we help you choose one that fits your team.
Will automated follow-up feel impersonal?
It shouldn’t. Automated messages are written in your voice and triggered by what a lead actually did, such as requesting a quote or booking a call. Conversations that need a person go to your team with the history attached.
What should we automate first?
Start where leads slip away, usually the first reply to a new inquiry and the follow-up after a quote. Once those run reliably, we move on to reporting and back-office tasks.
Do we have to replace our CRM?
Start by checking the system you already have. Routing, reminders and follow-up may be possible with its existing features. A replacement should solve a defined problem that cannot reasonably be fixed in the current setup, with a plan for data, integrations and staff training.
How can we tell whether automation is helping?
Compare the time to first response, unassigned inquiries, completed follow-ups and progression to booked meetings or sales. Also track failed workflows and manual corrections. Faster activity is useful only when the records are accurate and the next step reaches the right person.
