Logo design creates the mark that identifies your business on everything from your website to your signage. TLG Marketing’s designers study your company and competitors, sketch original concepts, refine the strongest direction with your feedback, and deliver a complete set of files in color, one-color and reversed versions, ready for print, web and social media.
Who we design logos for
Most logo projects start in one of three places. A new business needs a mark before it can launch a website or order business cards. A growing company has a logo someone made cheaply at the start, and it now looks out of place next to the clients it wants to win. Or a business has changed direction and the old logo points the wrong way.
If you need more than a logo, such as colors, typography and usage rules, our brand identity service covers the full system.
How we design your logo
- Brief and research. We learn about your business, customers and competitors, and agree on what the logo needs to say.
- Sketches and concepts. Our designers sketch a wide range of ideas, then develop the most promising into finished concepts for you to compare.
- Refinement. You pick a direction, and we fine-tune its spacing, letterforms and color with your input.
- Testing. The logo is checked at favicon size, on dark and light backgrounds, and in one color for embroidery or engraving.
- Final files. Vector and web formats, with a one-page sheet showing correct usage.
A logo that supports your marketing
Your logo appears in search results, map listings, ad creatives and email signatures, often at a tiny size. A mark that stays legible there helps people recognize you when they’re choosing whom to call. Once it’s approved, our team can carry it into your website, print and digital collateral, and Google Business Profile. Before handing over files, we also check how the logo looks as a social media profile image, where it’s usually cropped into a circle.
What to compare in a logo proposal
Check the research, concept and feedback stages, final file formats and usage guidance included in the project. Our logo design and brand identity cost guide explains how a standalone logo differs from a broader identity project. You can also review our client projects before discussing your brief.

// Questions
Logo design: common questions
What files will I receive?
You get vector files (AI, EPS, SVG and PDF) for print and signage, plus PNG and JPG versions for web and social media. Each comes in full color, one color, and reversed for dark backgrounds.
What makes a logo work?
A strong logo is simple enough to recognize at a glance, reads clearly in a browser tab and on the side of a building, and holds up in one color. It should suit your industry without looking like everyone else’s.
Should my logo include an icon or just our name?
It depends on your name and where the logo appears. A wordmark works well for short, distinctive names, while an icon helps when the name is long or you need a mark for social profiles and favicons. We often design both so you have an option for each space.
How much does branding or design work cost?
It depends on scope, from a single logo or brochure to a full identity with guidelines and collateral. Tell us your budget on the form and we’ll show you what it can achieve.
How long does a branding project take?
A logo takes about two days from brief to final files. A full brand identity with guidelines takes about two weeks, depending on how quickly feedback and decisions come back.
We already have a logo. Can you work with it?
Yes. We can refresh it, build a fuller identity around it or design new materials that follow your current guidelines. If the logo is holding you back, we’ll tell you and explain why.
