Startups in South Lake Union, professional firms, and the cafes, clinics and contractors of Ballard and Capitol Hill need fast websites that answer questions, and TLG Marketing designs and builds them. Each site is planned around the leads, bookings or sign-ups you need and tested for speed and accessibility. TLG has built client sites since 2006, and Seattle work is coordinated remotely from our Long Beach, California office.

What a website needs to win customers in Seattle

Seattle is the Pacific Northwest’s largest city, home to Amazon, Starbucks, the University of Washington and a deep startup community. Many of its customers work in technology themselves.

  • Online booking saves expensive staff time. Wages in Seattle are among the highest in the country, so every routine call that a booking page or FAQ can handle frees someone for paying work.
  • Accessibility is expected. Larger employers, public agencies and many residents care whether a site works with screen readers and keyboards, and accessible design also makes pages easier for everyone to use.
  • Startups need clarity fast. Investors, early customers and job candidates give a young company’s homepage a few seconds. It has to say plainly what the product does and who it serves.
  • Walkable districts run on phones. In Capitol Hill, Fremont or Ballard, people decide where to eat or shop while they’re out walking, so a menu, opening hours and a map link need to appear quickly over a cellular signal.

How we build a Seattle website

We start with discovery: your customers, the sites you compete with, your analytics and the action each visitor should take. Wireframes come next, then designs for the main templates, and our developers build them with semantic markup, compressed images and tested forms. If you already use a booking, CRM or ecommerce platform, we connect it to the new site.

Tracking for forms, phone clicks and bookings is in place before launch, so the first report already shows where inquiries come from. Read more about our UI and UX design approach.

// How it works

From first call to launch

  1. Discovery

    We learn your services, customers and goals, review your current site and analytics, and agree on what counts as a lead.

  2. Plan and wireframe

    We map the pages, organize the content and sketch layouts that put your calls to action where buyers look.

  3. Design and build

    You approve mockups of the key pages, then our developers build the site, connect your forms and set up GA4 tracking.

  4. Launch and support

    We test speed, devices and every form before going live, then handle updates, fixes and improvements.

// Questions

Web design in Seattle: common questions

Do you have an office in Seattle?

No. We’re a Long Beach, California agency, so Seattle kickoffs and reviews happen by video, and you can comment directly on design files and preview pages on your own phone.

We’re an early-stage startup. Do we need a full website yet?

Usually a focused site of a few pages is enough at first: what the product does, who it’s for, evidence that it works, and a way to sign up or book a demo. We design it so new pages can be added as you raise money, hire and launch features.

How much does a website cost?

It depends on scope: the number of pages, custom features, ecommerce and how much content needs writing. Tell us your budget on the form and we’ll show you what it can achieve.

How long does a website project take?

A small business website takes about two weeks from kickoff to launch. Larger sites with ecommerce, integrations or a lot of content take longer, and your proposal gives the timeline. Getting content and feedback to us quickly is the biggest factor you control.

Can you work on our existing website?

Yes. We can redesign it, improve what’s there, speed it up or move it to a new platform. We start by reviewing the current site so we know what’s worth keeping.

How do we get started?

Fill in the form, call +1 562-537-6936 or book a free 30-minute strategy session online. We’ll talk through your goals and follow up with a proposal covering scope and next steps.
